To learn more about staying at the Sahara hotel or playing in Sahara's casino, read our answers to Frequently Asked Questions. If you have a question that isn't answered here, don't hesitate to contact us.

1. Can special room requests be guaranteed (i.e. non-smoking, king bed, strip view, etc)?

All special requests such as high or low floors, a non-smoking room, or a room located near the elevator are honored upon check-in based on availability.

Though requests are not guaranteed, we do our best to accommodate all requests whenever possible. Please call Sahara's room reservations department at 888-696-2121 for any special requests.

2. Can I be guaranteed an early arrival?

Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee an early arrival. If there are rooms available and clean when you arrive, we will be happy to check you in early. If there are no rooms available, your luggage can be stored at the Bell Desk.

3. Can I book more than one room?

Yes, though Sahara's online room reservation system will only allow one booking per entry. Our website is designed to prevent guests from inadvertently booking more rooms than they need. To book another room, simply complete one reservation, exit the system, and then book more as needed.

Please note that if you book a room for a guest, we require the name of the guest staying in the room for check-in purposes, not the credit card holder.

4. What is the charge for a late checkout?

If you require a late checkout, you need to contact Sahara Hotel's manager the day of departure to verify the availability. The cost of the late checkout will be determined by the hotel manager depending on availability and how late the room is required.

5. Does the Sahara have a shuttle service from the airport?

The Sahara Hotel does not have its own shuttle service. However, across from the baggage claim at the airport, there are several shuttle companies that provide service to the Las Vegas Strip.

Shuttle prices may vary. The shuttles leave every few minutes from the airport. Advance reservations are not required.

6. What time is check-in and checkout?

Check in time begins at 3pm and check out time is 12pm daily.

7. Are there alarm clocks in the room?

Yes.

8. Do the hotel rooms have cable television?

Yes. The channels we have include WB, NBC, CNN, FOX, TBS, CBS, PBS, ESPN, ABC, UNIVISION, KFBT, Telemundo, WGN, CNBC, TNT, USA, MSNBC, Weather Channel, Travel Channel, and music stations.

9. Do the hotel rooms have coffee makers?

No.

10. Can the hotel provide a crib?

Yes, we will be happy to a crib at no charge. However, there is limited availability.

11. Can the hotel provide a rollaway bed?

Yes, we are able to provide a rollway bed at a cost of $10 (plus tax per night) pending availability.

12. Do the hotel rooms have hair dryers?

Yes.

13. Do the hotel rooms have irons and ironing boards?

Yes.

14. Are there laundry facilities on the hotel property?

No, but laundry and dry cleaning service is available through the Bell Desk.

15. Do the hotel rooms have microwaves?

No.

16. Do the hotel rooms have in-room safes?

No, but safety deposit boxes are available at the front desk. Guests can use these safety deposit boxes free of charge.

17. What age do I need to be to gamble?

In order to gamble in Las Vegas, you must be at least 21 years old and have identification.

18. How old do you need to be to register for a hotel room?

You must be at least 21 years old to register for a hotel room at the Sahara.

19. Does the hotel have wheelchairs?

Sahara has a limited amount of wheelchairs available through the Bell Desk. There is a fee of $15 per day.

20. Does the Sahara allow pets?

Service animals are the only pets allowed at the Sahara.

21. Can I receive an email or fax at the hotel?

Yes. Email should be sent to saharabc@encoreproductions.net. Faxes should be sent to 702-737-1017. There is a fee charged when picking up an email or fax. If you are contacting the hotel itself and not a guest, please send emails to info@saharavegas.com.

22. Do the rooms have internet access?

Yes. We have Web TV ($5.99 for 2 hours access) and high-speed access for laptops ($11.99 for 24 hours).

23. Is there a charge for parking?

There is no charge for parking. We have self-park and Valet parking available. We do not have any oversize (truck, trailer, RV) parking available.

24. Can I reserve a group of rooms?

Yes. To reserve ten or more rooms, book meeting space, etc., please contact our Sales Department at 800-634-6078.

25. Do you have data ports?

Yes, we have data ports in all of our rooms.

26. Do you have a golf course?

No, but you can find golf information at www.lasvegasfreedom.com.

27. Where is the Sahara Hotel located on the strip?

Sahara is the first hotel at the north end of the strip.

28. Does the hotel have business supplies and services available for the guests?

Yes; our business center has business supplies and services available for a fee.

29. Where can I rent a car?

30. Does the hotel have a day care service?

No. However, you can find the names of several licensed and bonded babysitting services in the local phone book.

31. What credit cards are accepted at the hotel?

Sahara Hotel accepts American Express, Discover, Japan Credit Bureau, MasterCard and Visa.

32. Does the hotel have a tennis court?

No. However, the bell desk can assist in making tennis arrangements.

33. I would like to take a day tour during my stay. How do I make these arrangements?

For information about city tours, including Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon, please call the Showtickets.com company at 702-737-2877, or visit their booth located in Sahara's hotel lobby.

34. Why can't I book more than 14 nights?

Clark County Housing codes prohibit us from accepting a reservation for more than 14 nights.

35. Do the hotel rooms have refrigerators?

The rooms are not furnished with refrigerators. A refrigerator can be provided upon request for $10 (plus tax per night).

36. Does the Sahara offer free gambling lessons?

Yes. Sahara's main casino offers free lessons for all of Sahara's table games. Days and times vary. Check with Club Sahara for specific information.
